I have been a member of this community for 35 years and am a third generation Northvillian. We have raised two children in Northville Public Schools and currently have a granddaughter in the pipeline. I do what all Northville families do, I pitch in to advance opportunity for all of our kids. I have served for five years and am current board secretary, and past vice president and treasurer.

As a board member I know that we are accelerating into a new era in public education. Here are a few of our board achievements during my tenure:

• Completed Strategic Plan, 2026-31 using a robust, inclusive, transparent, & community-driven process

• Enhanced behavioral health and wellness resources and community partnerships for students, staff, and families

• Refreshed policies and practices to protect students related to cell phones, personal devices, and AI

• Integrated data systems for early identification and support for students with academic progress and achievement needs

• Ensured 2023-2028 Bond is on time and moving forward to enhance building spaces for STEAM and robotics; technology & infrastructure efficiencies and upgrades

Professionally, I am a career educator and clinician working to promote health of children and families. My recent clinical work has been in school-based health centers serving elementary and middle school children in Detroit. For the last 20 years, my educational leadership at Wayne State University has been focused on preparing a culturally diverse public health workforce able to reduce health inequities locally and internationally. My educational lens is to create school environments where children are safe, healthy, valued and engaged. This allows all children to be academically successful.
